Statistics, overview

Activating the function: menu "Modules", "Statistics, Overview".

Coniuno stores the correct and wrong answers of all tenses of all languages in a training session, as well as the total numbers of the preceding training sessions. This data can be used to plan a training-program, to identify tenses that have been trained too few or to just receive a better overview how a training develops. Furthermore Coniuno uses this information to determine the training hint at start of the program.

The statistics-screen is divided in the three areas "Overview", "Details" and "Options".

Overview

In this upper area Coniuno informs you about:

  • true (max) The tense that has been entered correctly most often
  • false (max)The tense that has been entered wrongly most often
  • true (min) The tense that has been entered correctly most seldom
  • false (min) The tense that has been entered wrongly most seldom

These correct/wrong indications are determined according to the following groups:

  • Indicative
  • Subjunctive
  • others:

    • Conditional
    • Imperative
    • Participle
    • Gerund

The following example-table shows a possible statistics-overview for French:

In this case the passé simple has been entered correctly 40 times and by that is the best tense in the area of Indicative. Passé simple is also the worst tense, as 10 errors were done (more than in any other Indicative tense). The most seldom correct was the present with "only 20 hits" (that means all other Indicative tenses are between 20 and 40). The least errors occurred in the Imperfect, which was only not known 2 times.

Here one could now say passé simple should be trained on, as the error-rate was quite high. However to give a really qualified statement these counter values are still too low. In fact there should be done a few hundred exercises before the statistics becomes really significant.

The min/max values of the subjonctif are built accordingly.

The indication "Conditionnel présent (0)" in all fields of "others" tells that no tense of "others" has been trained at all so far. This is the default indication when Coniuno is started for the first time.

Details

The second part of the statistics screen shows the number of all correct- and wrong answers of all tenses in a language from the current training session or from the past training sessions.

The following example table shows a possible indication for the French Indicatif tense:

Here, for example, 20 correct answers in the tense présent against 5 wrong answers have been given, which relates to a success-quote of 80%. In future antérieur however 20 hits against 8 errors were counted, that relates to a success-quote of 71.43%.

Options

At the right side of the screen the options are located. Here you can choose, whether the statistics shall be shown for German, Dutch, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish or Latin and whether the counters of the current training-session (default) or the total numbers of the past training-sessions shall be shown. Furthermore you receive the information how many verbs of a language have been trained in total and how many verbs have been correct or wrong.

In the lower area of the screen you'll find three buttons:

  • Delete Statistics

By pressing this button you can either erase the statistical data of the current training-session or the statistical data of the past trainings. This depends on which statistical data currently is shown on the screen.

  • Help

    The help file is opened

  • Abort

    The statistics screen is closed
