Rule VIII: other strong verbs


 VIII.Abbreviation:strong verb
 
Description: Conjugating the Past and Voltooid Deelwoord following strong building rules, as defined in the list of strong verbs
 
Example verb: 12.helpen (strong verb), helpen: e-ie-o (helpen, hielp, geholpen)
 
Application: -the verb is built according to strong rules, as defined in the list of strong verbs, which can be modified on demand.
 

  Applies for (weak verbs):
OTT (Present): -
OVT (Past): -
Imperatief: -
Voltooid Deelwoord (Past Participle):-
 
  Applies for (strong verbs):
OTT (Present): -
OVT (Past): all forms
Imperatief: -
Voltooid Deelwoord (Past Participle):always
 
  Example:
OVT (Past):strong: "helpen" => "ik hielp", not "ik helpte"
Voltooid Deelwoord:weak: "helpen" => "geholpen", not "gehelpt"
 
Detection: Verbtime does not detect these verbs automatically as strong verbs. If a verb shall be built strongly according to these rules, then it must be included in the list of strong verbs.
