't kofschip OVT/VD(t), Rule IX, Conjugation

Rule IX: 't kofschip OVT/VD(t)

 IX.Abbreviation:'t kofschip OVT/VD(t)

Description: Conjugation of the OVT (Past) and Voltooid Deelwoord with "t", not with "d", for verbs, whose verb primitive ends on of the consonants 't', 'k', 'f', 's', 'ch', 'p' or 'x'. The made-up word 't kofschip can be used as a mnemonic to remember the according consonants more easily. 'ch' is counted like one vocal. The consonant 'x' has been added more recently and is used for newer verbs, like e.g. "relaxen" => "gerelaxt"

Example verb: 13.maken (weak verb)

Application: -the verb primitive ends one of consonants 't', 'k', 'f', 's', 'ch', 'p', or 'x'.
This rule would actually also apply to strong verbs, however this is normally not the case, as the OVT (Past) is built strongly and the Voltooid Deelwoord is built with "en" instead of "d/t". If a verb shally anyhow be built with "d/t" in the Voltooid Deelwoord (e.g. "vragen" => "gevraagd"), then it must be included in the list of verbs that build their Voltooid Deelwoord with "d/t".

  Applies for (weak verbs):
OTT (Present): -
OVT (Past): all forms
Imperatief: -
Voltooid Deelwoord (Past Participle):always

  Applies for (strong verbs):
OTT (Present): -
OVT (Past): -
Imperatief: -
Voltooid Deelwoord (Past Participle):list of strong d/t-verbs

  Example:
OVT (Past):weak: "maken" => "gemaakt", not "gemaakd"
OVT (Past):strong: "lopen" => "gelopen", not "gelopt" but, as exception, "vragen" => "gevraagd"
